Who Are We?
Cole Seaman
I have been a Youth Director in the suburbs outside of Philly for about 7 years, and just recently transitioned to a new church to do the same work (a new and exciting adventure). In high school, I really felt a strong calling to work with students. It’s a very challenging time in their lives. The more people who can be a non-anxious caring presence, the better! In my time in college, I really found a love for Biblical Studies as well as Youth Ministry. While the two obviously overlap, this is a better space to nerd out about ancient Near Eastern context and what it means for the interpretation of Scripture (who’s with me?). I’m a huge fan of really good character development in TV shows (movies put me to sleep). I love getting outdoors. It reminds me of how vast this world truly is. I also enjoy every day that I get to spend with my wife. This guy below me is pretty cool too!
Mike Creamer
I have now been out of college longer than I was in college, and that scares me a little bit. But since finishing college I have been a Youth Director at a church just outside of Pittsburgh. For a long time I have felt my calling in life was to lead others in the context of ministry (a word that comes with a lot of baggage), but I think as I have gotten older I have come to realize how vast that calling truly is. I graduated with degrees in theological studies and youth ministry in undergrad, and have just finished my Masters of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. I say all of that to convey that I’m a nerd that enjoys talking about this stuff. I love laughter, so whether it’s funny memes or stand up comedy I am always looking for something that will make me cry laughing. Great stories captivate me (from movies and tv to great novels and biographies) and I love sharing those stories with others. Simply put, I love to learn, especially about things I know nothing about.
